Our daily schedule
Calendar – We name the month, discuss the weather, count days, pattern and math readiness.
Music – Includes singing songs, rhythm exercises, finger-plays, musical instruments, movement and listening activities.
Story Time – As a group, the children listen to a story that relates to the daily theme; exploring possible outcomes or alternative situations. Language and reading readiness.
Art – We choose art projects that introduce your child to a variety of experiences. For example, during our health unit, we use electric toothbrushes to paint a tooth with a mint-smelling white paint.
Developmental Play - Your child can choose from a variety of activities; manipulative toys; social interaction, individual art activities, building & blocks, dramatic “play”, puzzles, books.
Snack Time – Nutrition, good manners, and socialization occur as children and teachers share a snack and beverage.
Kindergarten Readiness – Children learn skills to build confidence, interact with peers and adults (taking turns with friends & taking direction from teachers), listen attentively, and strive for independence. Their academic skills are strengthened daily as they recognize letters, numerals, colors, shapes, their addresses & phone numbers and have the ability to verbalize their knowledge and feelings.
