GENERAL INFORMATION
• Gray Mare Preschool works closely with the public schools when preparing
your child for kindergarten and beyond.
• Arrival time is 9:00 a.m. for the morning classes and for the afternoon
classes, 12:45 p.m. Prompt pick at 11:30 a.m for the 3 year old class, noon for the
4 year old class., and 3:45 p.m. for the combination class of 3, 4 and 5 year old
children.
• Clothing worn to school should be suitable for play and easy to manage.
Label everything!
• Snack donations – To help defray expenses, we ask for nutritious snack
donations. We ask parents to sign up to send a snack and beverage a few times
throughout the year. When supplying the snack, we ask for a snack and beverage
for each child in the class.
• A child’s birthday will be penciled in on the snack list as near as possible to
the actual date. A summer "un-birthday" can be arranged.
• Extended day is offered once a month for the 4/5 year old program and
5/6 year old program. Children bring a bag lunch and beverage on these extended
days. They stay for an extra hour.
• Show & Tell is held once a week in all of the classes. The specific date will
be announced at the beginning of the school year. Please encourage only one
item…NO WEAPONS!
• Watch the bulletin boards for messages from the teachers, the board of
directors, and the office. Read the newsletters and notes that are sent home.
Please hang on to and refer to the parent handbook throughout the year.
• The medical forms must be in the first week of school, but dated no earlier
than 1 year before the first day of school. The forms are good for two years.

Immunization Record
• Common health rules dictate that no child may attend school when ill. We
reserve the right to call you when your child is not well enough to be in school and
ask you to take the child home. Please inform your teachers if your child
contracts a communicable disease.
• Tuition payments should be made to Gray Mare Preschool. The first tuition
payment is due by August 18. Please direct all questions about tuition to the Gray
Mare office. Payments may not be given to the teachers.
• IMPORTANT…Leave your phone number if you do not plan to be home during
school hours. In case of a serious injury, we will call 911. Please check the
emergency list for accuracy and update your information with the teachers when
changes occur.
